Sagent’s 1Q26 Momentum + Revving up for Ignite ’26

2026 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Sagent, and it’s already off to a strong start. With new leadership at the helm, early momentum for Dara, and a visible presence across the industry, Q1 set the tone for what’s shaping up to be a year defined by progress, execution, and results.

Here’s a look back at the highlights, and a fast forward to what’s ahead.

New Sagent Leadership

Q1 marked an important milestone for Sagent with the announcement of new leadership, reinforcing our long-term commitment to modernizing mortgage servicing and delivering meaningful outcomes for customers.

Chris Marshall was named Chairman & CEO, bringing continuity and clear direction as Sagent enters its next phase of growth. In this role, Chris is focused on guiding the company’s strategic vision, strengthening execution across the business, and ensuring Sagent continues to invest in innovation that helps servicers operate with greater confidence and efficiency. Alongside this appointment, Sridhar Sharma was named President, overseeing day-to-day operations and helping translate strategy into action across teams, products, and customer delivery. Sridhar’s focus is on operational excellence, scale, and ensuring Sagent’s platforms — including Dara and LoanServ — continue to meet the evolving needs of the servicing market. Read more here.

New Booth & More at MBA Servicing

MBA Servicing was a big week for Sagent, and a lot of fun. From nonstop chatter on the show floor to sharp insights and a packed party, we were “on” from kickoff to close.

Onstage, Kyle Draisey (CISO) and Matt Tully (CCO) joined two industry panels, swapping real-world stories on cybersecurity, compliance, and what servicers are really dealing with right now. The conversations didn’t stop when the mic turned off — they rolled straight into hallway chats and follow-ups all week. Sridhar Sharma, President, kept it going offstage with The Basis Point, digging into where Sagent is headed, why real-time data is a must-have, and how Dara is reshaping the future of servicing.

On the expo floor, our new Sagent booth turned into a go-to hangout — quick hellos, deeper dives, and everything in between. And then there was Tuesday Night Lights at Cowboys Golf Club, a major conference highlight, with customers, partners, and friends coming together for networking, great food, and plenty of “you had to be there” moments.

Dara® by Sagent

Q1 brought strong momentum for our customers and partners, with new organizations joining the Sagent ecosystem and reinforcing confidence in Dara and our broader platform strategy.

On the customer side, IHFAClick n’ Close, and Land Home each selected Dara to support their servicing operations, citing the value of real-time data, configurable workflows, and a modern servicing experience. You can read the full announcement for IHFA, explore CNC’s full story, and learn more about Land Home’s decision here.

That momentum extended to our partner ecosystem as well, with Newcourse joining the Sagent partner network. This new partnership further strengthens our open ecosystem approach, giving servicers greater flexibility and choice in how they configure technology and services to support their business. More details on the Newcourse partnership are available here.

LoanServ

LoanServ Portfolio: A Steady First Chapter — In Chapter 1 of 2026, the LoanServ portfolio showed steady, healthy progress. The overall portfolio mixremained stable in Q1, with active loan counts inching up 0.07% and UPB growing 1.7% to $437 billion. Rather than dramatic shifts, this quarter reflects thoughtful, sustainable expansion—more like a garden growing evenly than a sudden growth spurt.

One of the clearest bright spots this quarter was early delinquency performance. The 30‑day delinquency bucket declined by 68.5%, reflecting a classic post‑holiday normalization as borrowers caught up on payments in January and February. This strong clearance trend signals positive portfolio health heading into the rest of the year.

Looking Ahead: Portfolio Shifts and Future‑State Readiness — Q1 data also points to continued growth in government‑backed loans, with increasing FHA, VA, and GNMA activity across the portfolio. While this shift introduces slightly greater servicing complexity and prepayment sensitivity, it also lowers overall credit risk and reflects evolving borrower and market dynamics.

Beyond the current chapter, LoanServ is aligned with what’s next. Sagent continues to work closely with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as they modernize servicing data exchange—moving from coded files to event‑based reporting. Our servicing products are designed to support Fannie Mae’s multiyear future‑state roadmap and Freddie Mac’s Resolve® initiative, positioning LoanServ customers to be ready as the next chapters of servicing innovation unfold.

FAST FORWARD ⏩
