Trailblazing Sagent CTO Recognized as a 2025 HousingWire Vanguard
As Sagent pushes the boundaries of how lenders and homeowners manage loans, our CTO, Omer Farooque, is busy reengineering the tech backbone of the entire housing ecosystem. His leadership is the driving force behind the bold rollout of Dara in 2025 — and it shows.
Turns out, we’re not the only ones paying attention. Omer was just named a HousingWire Vanguard (we’re not surprised), a title reserved for the visionary executives who move markets — day in, day out.
Leading the Industry’s Greatest Change
As Chief Technology Officer, Omer leads a global team of approximately 700 Sagent team members who are responsible for the technical aspects of our existing platforms — including LoanServ, and TEMPO — currently powering more than $2 trillion in unpaid balances for America’s leading servicers.
But Omer’s never met a challenge he didn’t face head on, and this passion has fueled his drive to concurrently develop Dara, our new cloud-based platform that offers real-time data and automation, connected within an open ecosystem and unified interface across core, default, and consumer servicing. Under Omer’s leadership, Dara has been rolling out incrementally through 2025 and implementations are underway as new features are rapidly coming to the market.
Omer approaches this significant set of blended responsibilities with a 3-5 year vision that allows him to “tweak reality” in order to meet Sagent’s timelines and goals.
A True Vanguard in Every Sense
No matter what he is doing, Omer gives it his all, and while always realistic, he refuses to take “no” for an answer, and that’s a vital asset when leading the transformation of a servicing model that has been set in stone for decades.
