With so many brilliant people working here (from all over the country and globally) at Sagent, be able to share their personal and professional stories is one of the ways we stay closely connected.
Let’s give these folks one more round of applause for standing out here at Sagent (and the industry) as we work together to revolutionize America’s $14 trillion servicing ecosystem.
Now, let’s get into our 2024 Sagent Standouts.
Tanicka Kirk – Senior People Partner
Tanika Kirk had the unique experience of growing up in both Germany and Texas (very cool!!). And with Texas near to her heart, she volunteers in Dallas with the homeless and veteran communities and always seeks opportunities to make a positive impact — a trait that is authentically her both personally and professionally. Being a US Army Veteran, she brings a fresh prespective to workforce and talent development, while also looking for ways to grow when it comes to inclusivity. Having her on Team Sagent has made our associates better and stronger and we’re so grateful for the impact she continues to bring to the table.
Deidre LeGrand – Implementations Consultant IV
For years, Deidre LeGrand has volunteered at LGBTQIA+ resource groups in the St. Louis area, but she recently brought that passion closer to home. Alongside a few coworkers, Deidre spearheads Sagent PROUD, an employee resource group for LGBTQIA+ employees, families, and allies. When it comes to her career, she got involved in the mortgage fintech industry by chance (isn’t that most of us??!) and is so thankful she did. Her days at Sagent involve collaborating closely with different teams and working with clients. Since joining Sagent, Deidre has found that there are no limits to what she and her team can accomplish.
Bart Bailey – Vice President of Product Management
Throughout his career, Bart Bailey has always had a passion for technology and building innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency. He attributes that pass to his dad — his biggest role model: a creative, driven, problem solver who could handle any odd job around the house. Watching his dad solve problems taught Bart the skills he now uses to solve problems in the servicing industry. He has been fortunate to have leaders who were excellent role models, something he has tried to emulate for younger team members.
Aruna Perumal – Head of Human Resources
Aruna Perumal grew up in Bangalore, India, but caught the travel bug and moved around several states until finding her home in the Southeast coastal city of Chennai. She still loves to drive around the different states of India with her husband, especially to places where she can connect with nature. Aruna speaks highly of her dad, her role model, who has always motivated and encouraged her throughout her life and career. As the Head of HR for Sagent | India, she spends much of her day putting out fires and organizing chaos. From early in her career, she knew she wanted to be part of the fintech industry and contribute to the industry’s innovation.
Thomas Swetman – Creative Director
Since he was young, Thomas Swetman has been drawn to extreme sports, and today, you can still find him riding around and doing kick-flips on his skateboard. Thomas enlisted in the US Navy after high school, an experience he credits with giving him opportunities to travel and meet a wide array of people. Truly a well-rounded individual, Thomas went to the Atlanta College of Art where he discovered a love of digital arts. Eventually, he found a passion for mortgage fintech and platforms that push innovative and technological boundaries, like Dara. He loves applying his design knowledge and creativity to Sagent’s mission and strengthening brand recognition and reputation.
Cheryl McKenzie – Senior Sales & Solutions Consultant
Cheryl McKenzie brings a special blend of warmth and enthusiasm to her work guiding new customers through implementing our reliable solutions. She is a single mother of two daughters and one grandson and, impressively, purchased her first house at the age of 19 (Go Cheryl!!). In her down time (I’m telling you this person is a non-stop force and true inspiration) Cheryl leads a nonprofit organization, Kindness Program, that allows her to give back to the community on weekends and holidays.
Rachel Crooks – Customer Engagement Consultant
Rachel Crooks was spotlighted in a special edition of Sagent Standouts because of her remarkable journey to transform a historic house in Tiffin, Ohio, alongside her partner, Josh. Over the past three years, the pair have been chronicling their journey on Instagram through the eyes of their beloved dog Carlow. Rachel’s relentless pursuit of her dreams is a shining example of the passion and determination we pride ourselves on at Sagent.
Anne Hurtubise – Director or Talent Acquisition
Anne Hurtubise lives in Southern California with her husband, two sons, daughter, and cat Sasha. She loves to be outdoors and most of her hobbies include some kind of physical activity. Anne considers working at Sagent and having the opportunity to develop a world-class recruiting function a dream come true. She details how exciting it is that Sagent’s team is expanding quickly as it gives her the chance to identify and implement new tools to keep the organization running efficiently. She’s proud of what her team has accomplished—and we are proud of her work on growing our wonderful Sagent team!
